The Kamin family started a tradition of fine home & office furnishings when Morris and Carolyn Kamin opened their doors in downtown Victoria in 1950.

After his service in the U.S. Navy during WWII, Morris Kamin took a job with M.O . Simon in Victoria as a salesman. His success as a natural salesman caused him to leave M.O. Simon to open his own store. Kamin Furniture was founded in 1950 with the mission of providing the highest quality furnishings and the very best customer service. The company rapidly outgrew the Bridge Street location and the company moved to its current location on Santa Rosa St. where we have since expanded 3 times to accommodate our vast selection of quality home furnishings. In 1982 Buddy Kamin took over the family business and continues to serve as President of the company. Today Kamin’s flourishes with two stores in downtown Victoria.

Kamin Furniture and Kamin’s Back Door Store on the corner of Santa Rosa and Liberty encompasses over 50,000 sq.feet. of fine furniture and accessories from America’s finest name brands such as, Henredon, American Drew, Lane, Bernhardt, and numerous others. Morris Kamin was also a passionate supporter of the law enforcement & military community which has been recognized on the local and national level with various awards from the Texas Department of Public Safety and other agencies. Buddy Kamin has followed in his father’s footsteps. He has also been recognized for his tireless support of the Texas Department of Public Safety as well as the Admiral H.G. Rickover Foundation and various other agencies.
