After his service in the U.S. Navy during WWII, Morris Kamin took a job with M.O. Simon in Victoria as a salesman. His success as a natural salesman caused him to leave M.O. Simon to open his own store. Kamin Furniture was founded in 1950 with the mission of providing the highest quality furnishings and the very best customer service. The company rapidly outgrew the Bridge Street location and the company moved to the corner of Santa Rosa and Liberty St., where it expanded three times to accommodate a vast selection of quality home furnishings. In 1982 Buddy Kamin took over the family business and continues to serve as President of the company. In 1990 the Kamin Family added The Back Door Store, which is a collection of quality furniture at a discount price. Today, the Back Door Store is known as the Kamin Furniture Fire House Store, which is located on the corner of Juan Linn and Liberty in Downtown Victoria. In 2008 Kamin Furniture had not only moved to a new location to accommodate the fast growing city of Victoria, but also changed its name as well to Kamin Home Furnishing.. The new store, located at 5909 N.E. Zac Lentz Pkwy on Loop 463 in Victoria, has over two acres of showroom floor for all your home furnishing needs. We carry some of America's best name brands like Lexington, La-Z-Boy, Bernhardt, Flexsteel, Tempur-pedic and so much more.
