Finish: Antique Slate - a mid-tone brown finish with a beautiful patina. Distressing includes sandblasting, drawknife, wormholes and stone. Knob and bail pull hardware in an antique silver finish.

Finish Construction

Hooker Furniture utilizes a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness, and durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.

Drawer Construction:

Hooker Furniture offers full height, full depth, and full-width drawers for maximum storage capacity. All drawers have strong, time-tested English or French dovetail construction, for years of problem-free use. Plywood drawer bottoms are attached to plywood drawer sides for strength and durability. Metal side guides or wood on wood guide systems operate smoothly.

Headquartered in Martinsville, Va. where we maintain a corporate office and several distribution facilities, Hooker Furniture employs around 800 people at our Virginia and North Carolina locations. Our high-fashion custom upholstery by Sam Moore Furniture is manufactured in Bedford, Va. Much of our upscale leather upholstery line is manufactured in Hickory, N.C. by Bradington-Young. Hooker also imports an extensive line of wood bedroom, living room accents, dining room, home office and home entertainment furniture and some leather furniture from factories around the world. These include factories in Asia, Mexico and Central America. The design and engineering of these imported furnishings is all carefully overseen by Hooker or Bradington-Young in compliance with our high quality standards.

Hooker is known as an active, contributing corporate citizen in the Virginia and North Carolina communities in which we work and live. Our company is a leading contributor to charitable organizations such as the United Way, education and the arts, and our employees provide service to these organizations through volunteerism and board memberships. The Hooker Educational Foundation has awarded more than one million dollars in scholarships to over 300 children of company employees since its inception in the 1990's.
